I have been using these free Softwares for about 4 years and I am happy as every device is getting internet in my house and we have not spend a single penny on a hardware device for this internet. The free wifi softwares are :-
1. Connectify Hotspot
This is the software that I have been using from the start . You can download the software from http://www.connectify.me/. After downloading you have to install the .exe file. The main thing that you have to see is that your anti virus should me halted while this installation process is taking place as Anti virus may delete some of the essential files of connectify and it may not work properly. After installing ,you have restart the computer system. After starting the system , you can switch on the anti virus again. Now open the connectify software and set a hotspot name, password, internet to share ( Realtek PCIE family controller ) is what I have selected for the mtnl modem that I use, you have to select share over and wifi and finally you have to start the hotspot and you are ready to go. This same process is used for almost every other wifi software.
