Imagine having a device through which you can write your thoughts, stories, poems at any time you want without any distractions. This device can be a boon for the writers, bloggers, scriptwriters, poets and many other people who love to write. I am a blogger and having this device can be a major advantage to my blogging project. There is such a kind of device and is called Freewrite Traveler. It is a kind of mini laptop and is distraction free with no social media or any other kind of apps installed that causes frequent disturbances. Freewrite Traveler is developed by a New York based company called Astrohaus and the idea of Traveler originated in 2016.

2. The device is easily transportable and weighs just 0.8 kg. Remember the Traveler is not slim but it’s keys are really comfortable.
3. Has a 6” E-ink display. E-ink display is not disturbing to the eyes and can be used in sunlight too. It has 2 screens. One main big screen for displaying your writing and a small status screen underneath the main screen for displaying the word count, the time spent on the device etc.
4. Battery life is excellent and can run up to 30 hours on a single full charge. There is USB type C for charging purposes and for transferring data as well.
5. The keyboard is the most talked about and the best feature about this device. It is the old school keyboard used in the starting of the 21^st century. It is called custom tactile scissor switch keyboard and comes in QWERTY format and comes with 30+ keyboard layouts and languages for the international customers.
   
6. You can store your drafts in cloud storage applications like Dropbox, Google Drive and Evernote with the help of 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi. So you don’t have to be worried regarding the loss of your data as the traveler has the capacity to save up to 1 million+ pages and there is cloud storage option too.
7. The written file is saved in .docx or .fdx(final draft) format in the clouds.
   

The only thing that is disliked about Traveler is the screen size. There is enough space left out which could have been used as a screen.

Many books and screenplays have already been written on this device. 45 million words have been written on Traveler till now. This device is mainly used for writing a rough content with regards to your project. Editing part is done in your main laptops or PCs. It is easily foldable like a normal laptop and easily fits inside a bag.
