BAN BULLET BIKE SOUND

"Look at me. I own a RE BULLET . I want to make noise and make you deaf.'’

In Delhi , we always talk about air pollution . Odd Even rules are applied. Factories are shut down. Old vehicles especially Diesel vehicles are prohibited to run on Delhi roads. Land pollution is also a much talked about matter. But no one takes the Noise pollution seriously. We talk about noise pollution only during Diwali's and Dusshera. One of the major causes of noise pollution is the "BULLET BIKE". This bike is really a masculine bike with tough looks and great performance, but bullet bike is infamous or famous  for its Sound. In my personal opinion I hate this sound. I thought about writing this blog as the consequence of the bullet bike that my friend has which makes terrible irritating noise when it passes through our street.I told him to either stop this sound or just reduce it but a bullet fan never compromises with sound . A bullet without sound is like a bank without money. haha!!.

The most famous bullet bike on  Indian road is the Royal Enfield.  It was originally a British company but now it is produced in the Chennai factory ,India(now Indian company). This bike was initially made and used by Army personals, but nowadays  every random individual has got a Bullet bike. The initial cost of a bullet is Rs 1 lakh and it goes further depending on the features. Some of the riders deliberately modify their silencers to create more sound. During July 2015 Around Rs 36,000 was collected as fine from the Pune bullet riders for creating Noise pollution. The sound is Disturbing but for the bullet riders , it is a status symbol. They just want to grab people's attention but the people don't  give a shit about the bike or the sound. Several  activists have launched campaign with senior citizens to ban the bullet sound.

Noise pollution can lead to many psychological disorders in a person. It can cause stress, hearing problems, speech interference, sleep disruption  and lost productivity. The Royal Enfield company should ban exhausts which create this terrible sounds and Government should interfere in this matter. There should be strict checkings in delhi like the checkings happened in pune. Strict fines should be imposed for modifications in the bike as it is against the Indian law. The vehicles which create a sound level above the mentioned decibel should be banned completely.  The states which are crazy about these bikes are punjab and haryana. It is pride for them but a nuisance for others.

Other bikes have smaller engines and more than one cylinders and mufflers in the bike help in noise reduction whereas in bullets they have a big single cylinder with a long  stroke piston which pushes the  burnt gas out of the piston and sound is created in the form of energy losses. In other countries like USA and Netherlands , there are strict laws regarding noise creation but in India no one gives a damn.

If you don't want to close your ears when a Bullet passes  you , Start a campaign against BULLET SOUND NOW
